Quality Technology Services Announces Opening of Santa Clara Data Center

Santa Clara, CA - March 10, 2009 - Quality Technology Services (QualityTech), one of the nation's largest privately-held providers of data center facilities and managed services, announced that facility work is complete on their 60,000 sq. ft. data center and office technology space in Silicon Valley. The facility is set to open in early spring for business. QualityTech currently manages and operates more than 2 million square feet of data center space with a market value in excess of over half-a-billion dollars.

The data center consists of a 60,000 square feet raised floor footprint (30,000 sq. ft. 1st floor & 30,000 sq. ft. 2nd floor) and multiple, Silicon Valley Power, substations feed 4.8 MW of power through dual feed to the facility at our primary switchgear (PSG) generating 3.25 MW of UPS to critical data center equipment.

One-third of the facility's space has already been accounted for by current client growth. "As with all QualityTech locations, the Santa Clara data center will provide an extensive list of managed services customized for our clients." said Chad Williams, CEO/Chairman.

"QualityTech has initiated an improvement project to add 50,000 square feet of raised floor and 7 megawatts of useable UPS power in a second building. Additionally, Silicon Valley Power is placing a new substation adjacent to our facility. This project is presently in the planning stages and is scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2010," said Mark Waddington, President of QualityTech. "The upgrade project and the purchase of the sister building will enable us to expand our business in the Silicon Valley even further and allows us to establish a formidable presence in the market."
