Custom Design Opportunity
The QTS Richmond Data Center will be among the largest data centers in the world. Upon completion of the first stage of construction, the site will include over 500,000 square feet of raised floor space in three distinct data center buildings. Now is a perfect time if your agency has custom requirements, such as specific power configuration, security access, on-site office space, DR/COOP needs, or desires other customized features, to evaluate build-to-suit opportunities in this state-of-the-art facility.
Located 98 miles from Washington DC and in close proximity to several major military and government installations, the QTS Richmond Data Center is well positioned to meet or exceed the exacting standards for data center and cloud computing services to the US Federal Government.
QTS can provide solutions that range from single racks to hundreds of thousands of square feet , within a multi-tenant data center or in stand alone buildings in Richmond, Atlanta or other facility locations. Any implementation can also be configured with essentially unlimited bandwidth and at any desired level of security compliance - FISMA Low through TS/SCI SCIF.

Leadership
Scott Shinberg
Scott brings over 21 years of experience with government system integrators, co-location and hosting service providers, and Federal government operations to his role as Vice President of the QTS Federal Systems Group, where he leads the company's government-facing sales team that helps drive efficiencies so strongly desired by government agencies and contractors.
Prior to joining QTS, Scott served in senior Business Development and Program Management roles for SAIC and General Dynamics overseeing projects that provided intelligence and cyber security services and devices to customers including the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the US Air Force.
While in government service, Scott served as an Air Force Intelligence Operations Officer, and as a Special Agent with the FBI. Scott holds a Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
